Valentine’s Day Rice Krispie Treats


Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter

  • 12 ounces marshmallows

  • 5 cups Rice Krispies cereal

  • 1 cup freeze-dried strawberries, roughly crushed

  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips

Instructions (yields 16 bars):

  • Line a 9×9-inch pan with parchment paper and set aside.

  • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the marshmallows and stir with a spatula until completely melted and smooth. Remove from heat immediately.

  • Place the Rice Krispies cereal in a large mixing bowl. Pour the melted marshmallow mixture over the cereal and gently stir with a rubber spatula until evenly coated.

  • Fold in the freeze-dried strawberries and white chocolate chips, mixing just until combined.

  • Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan. Using a lightly greased spatula, gently press it into an even layer.

  • If desired, sprinkle additional freeze-dried strawberries and white chocolate chips on top.

  • Refrigerate until set, then cut into 16 squares.
