Valentine’s Day Rice Krispie Treats
Ingredients:
1/2 cup unsalted butter
12 ounces marshmallows
5 cups Rice Krispies cereal
1 cup freeze-dried strawberries, roughly crushed
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
Instructions (yields 16 bars):
Line a 9×9-inch pan with parchment paper and set aside.
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the marshmallows and stir with a spatula until completely melted and smooth. Remove from heat immediately.
Place the Rice Krispies cereal in a large mixing bowl. Pour the melted marshmallow mixture over the cereal and gently stir with a rubber spatula until evenly coated.
Fold in the freeze-dried strawberries and white chocolate chips, mixing just until combined.
Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan. Using a lightly greased spatula, gently press it into an even layer.
If desired, sprinkle additional freeze-dried strawberries and white chocolate chips on top.
Refrigerate until set, then cut into 16 squares.
